John Harding dives to check Coralita's anchor during a cyclone at Middleton Reef. The shallow lagoon is not safe in such strong winds. The anchor dragged 100 meters.
Most interesting. As Master of Brisbane Tug Fearless I attended Runic shortly after grounding. Very interested discuss matters associated with events after initial salvage attempt by United Salvage Co Melb. abandoned.

Could you tell me where I could locate the copyright owner of that port-quarter 1971 view of the Runic wreck? I’ve co-written a book about the Runic and her sisters that is to be published this year, and it gives the account of the officers who were on watch the night she hit the reef, told by them for the first time.
